New mini album: ROCK TIGER!!

Here’s a little known fact. The first Merwolf album was intended to be a sprawling double-headed beast called ‘Pop Monkey/Rock Tiger’. It was going to be around 25 songs or so in length and roughly divided into ‘pop’ and ‘rock’ tracks. Naturally, as usual, I was side-tracked by other things and so put out the best of what I had done as a slightly less ambitious album we now know as ‘Pop Monkey’.
However, in November 2008 I was trawling through the vaults and came across many tracks that I had discarded for whatever reason. I was pleasantly surprised to find that some of it actually sounded pretty good (well, interesting at least!). So, I did some mixing, sprinkled on a little bit of magic dust and can now bring you the best of that stuff as a 7-song mini album called ‘Rock Tiger’! Kind of a companion piece to the first album. It’ll act as a little something to tide you over before I record the second album proper later this year – stay tuned it’ll be a totally different musical entity!
