Salvation
Feb 27, 2007

Salvation so simple a Cowboy can understand!
1) Confess to God you’re a sinner deserving death. (Romans 3:23&6:23)
2) Believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and God rose Him from the dead. (Romans 10:9-10)
3) Now pray this prayer:
Lord I admit to You and myself that I have not been the person that You created me to be. I’ve lived the brand of the world. Now, O Lord, I want to live by Your Brand. I know that I have sinned against You. Lord, I am a sinner who needs Your forgiveness and salvation. I believe in my heart that You died for my sins. I believe that You were raised from the grave and are alive forever more. I confess my sins before You today and I turn from them. I ask You to come into my life and make me into the person You want me to become. I place my complete faith and trust in You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen”
Email me if you have just prayed this Prayer from your heart!

Jesus Was a Cowboy
Feb 27, 2007

Jesus Was a Cowboy
“Was Jesus a cowboy?” the young buckaroo asked.
“Did he ever fork broncs? Did he wear a big hat?
“Did he ever punch cattle down the ol’ Chisholm Trail?
“Or was he like some say, a weakling, and frail?”
I couldn’t help but listen to what the old trail boss said,
As he took off his hat and wiped his gray head.
He stepped down from the saddle, from his clothes knocked off dust.
And I kinda expected to hear the man cuss.
He said, “Son, I don’t know, but this much is true.
He came as a man just like me and like you.
Did he ever ride broncs or wear a big hat?
That, Son, I can’t tell ya, but I will tell ya that
He rode for the brand and was true to the end.
He was willing to lay down his life for a friend.
And we were his friends and for us he did die,
To pay for our sin debt he was crucified.”
"Now Son, Jesus loves you, and I love you, too.
And I’d be willing to lay down my own life for you
To meet you in Heaven in the sweet bye and bye,
At the great final roundup up there in the sky.”
Was Jesus a cowboy? Are you asking me?
Well, all I can tell ya is what I can see.
There’s an old man a-standing there all cowboyed up
And the love of the Saviour has filled up his cup.
I don’t know how much more you’d expect there to be,
But it sure looks like Jesus was a cowboy to me.
