friends with more than ten musicians. So my "fav" friends section doesn't show them all at once. Therefore I decided to do some kind of rotation which I hope will please everybody concerned so far #;-)
As Chris Ward told on an entry on my message board, sadly Rosie died last Monday morning. The song which meant a lot to her the last months of her life - Just Pray Big - will be played live at her funeral. So it stayed on my page until weekend (07/04/22).
"My song Just Pray Big reached number 1 today and this actually means a lot for the person I wrote it for...... Rosie was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year and has had extensive intrusive surgery to remove it. This was followed by courses of steriods, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Her husband, Rob, is a local vicar (minister) and gives all his friends an update on Rosie's condition mointhly. Every email ends with the words....Pray Big. It is a simple yet heartfelt request so I wrote the song for Rosie and Rob. With his kind permission I have been allowed to post the music on my soundclick site. Today I told him that Rosie is number one......I suspect that Rosie has been his number one for years. Thanks for listening and voting this song HOT. It meant a lot to Rosie. Very Best Wishes Chris Ward" (https://board.soundclick.com/viewtopic.php?p=1503114&highlight=#1503114)
Please try to understand: Of course I feel honoured if an artist whose music I like very much establishes some kind of relationship to his audience, as in my case, for example, did Chris Ward and Jim Emmons (thanks a lot!). But I simply can't listen carefully to everyones music, giving it all the respect it deserves, to decide which songs to add to one of my stations... Please take this into account if you think about sendig a "friends" request. Otherwise I shall suppose that the respective requestor tries to abuse my page for mere promotional purpose, which I will NOT accept. Sincerely, Angelika PS: If sb is interested in reading more about this: https://board.soundclick.com/viewtopic.php?t=202340 (a debate on SoundClick Seniors, full of misunderstandigs due to my no beeing a native speaker of English - but finally coming to a good end)
