Living in Detroit is quite a challenge right now. Many factories have closed, houses have lost half their value, and we haven't hit bottom yet. Through it all, however, we have a hope that is part of our culture. I wrote The American Heart to remind those who have fallen on hard times that we live in an amazing country. A place where, even in the toughest times, we have opportunities, hope, and a spirit that will carry us through. I dedicate this song to those who face these challenges, and to the memory of those who walked this path before us and made our futures brighter by their efforts to make this country a land of opportunity for those that follow after them.
Those of you who know me only through my writing, may not know that I had a daughter get married this year. A cowriter of mine was also in the same situation, and we put our heads together to write a song for the occasion. In His Arms" is the result. I've just posted it on my soundclick page. Hope you get a chance to listen, and trust you enjoy it. Thanks!
Hey all, I just posted a new tune called "Tryin' To Get Them Clean", a small town bluegrass tragedy. Performance is by Joel Lane, and I think you'll like it! I've priced the track at only 25 cents, so snatch up a copy. https://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=65182 Thanks for listening! Tim Wheeler
