I penned this a while ago and thought that I should share it with you. I may turn it into a song someday. :) I Find Peace I had perfect peace when my spirit was with Thee before birth; Then in my mother’s womb Your hands formed me; I shed tears at birth when my spirit was separated from Thee; When I was thrust upon this cruel world and life. Though away from Your presence, I find peace in Your creation; I find peace in the rays of the morning sun, I find peace in the setting of the sun at eventide; I find peace in the night from Your gentle moon. I find peace when I smell Your array of flowers; I find peace in every branch and leave of every tree; I find peace in the bubbly movement of the squirrel; I find peace when each bird sings her song You gave. I find peace in the gentle dew that rests on the land, I find peace in the refreshing rain that falls from above, I find peace in the air that You so freely give, I find peace in waterfalls, rivers, fountains and springs. I find peace in all Your creation my lovely Lord, These You have given me for the short while I am here, They provide me some form of peace oh God Till I return to You and perfect peace is again, mine.
