HI, I'm Soren Groth aka NYERTUN - I'll like inform you about a great initiative I've choosen to support. I hope you'll join too, MyC4 is a new web platform that enables people to contribute to the eradication of poverty in Africa by investing in African businesses. The idea is simple, say the founders, Mads Kjær and Tim Vang, who run the operation from offices in Copenhagen and Kampala. The site lists Opportunities, businesses in need of capital, which have been selected through MyC4’s network of Providers in Africa. Investment works on a bidding system – what the organizers describe as a Dutch auction, which basically means that the more people that are interested in investing, the more favourable the terms become for the African business. This variable interest rate, say the organizers, helps ensure that the entrepreneurs behind the most attractive Opportunities benefit directly. Projects are intended to be investments in growth (in stock, new employees, etc) that offer a material return: each project is subject to a due diligence process which looks at the prospects for a return on investment. MyC4 also takes into consideration whether the Opportunity lives up to the UN Global Compact principles, while each entrepreneur must list two of the UN Millennium Development Goals as its main targets. Investors can invest in one or as many Opportunities as they wish, either individually or as part of a larger group. It’s free to invest on MyC4 and the minimum investment is €10 (in the interests of simplicity, the unit of currency adopted by MyC4 is MyCredit, which is equivalent to €1). To date, +1000 opportunities have been funded, with +1,500,000 MyCredits uploaded. Moreover, none of the Opportunities have defaulted their repayment.
I don't think our need for Eros, is a need like hunger and thirst - the two latter comes as a lack of energy, and we need to fill up the tank - sex as object, like we're manipulated to think about it, is supposed to be the same way - but really Eros ( Sex as Love) is more like the opposite, to be full of energy, impressions to the point of burst, and then need to express the emotional overflow - I see it as something greater than just sex, to make love is an creative act - I don't see anything sinful in the moment when that creative force becomes physical, to let go and flow away in the pulse of becoming one flesh, sin is to isolate that physical side from love and care, to isolate the genital side from the heart and mind, to be strangers when the body is satisfied - Consumerism is all about making people into strangers - to seperate people, to make them into playing different roles, that is isolated from the wholeness and connection with God - In Consumerism we are no longer to be lovers, but sex-consumers - no longer artists - but cultural prostitutes Soooo when I'm not playing with my beloved - I do other things, like art CosmicErotic and music: Nyertun Another way saying the same: I think we need artistic erotica as a counterpart to the commercial porn and its dehumanising effect on one of life's fundamental cosmic energies - eros has a spiritual foundation and in porn it becomes mechanised, commercialised and materialised - not incarnated in flesh, but on the contrary it exarnate and alienate people as spectators, and diminish the participators to objects - LONG LIVE OUR LUST !!!
"I believe that in our heart we know right from wrong - and there's much we see around us in our environment and the relations between people, both socially, economically and politically, where we feel: "this is not the right way for human beings to live - this is not the way we're supposed to relate to each other and our surroundings" "As long as we just wait to see where the dynamics of history leads us, we're doomed to be victims of circumstances. This dynamic is often dictated by other concerns, we learn to think in social, economical and political "realities", forcing us to put aside what our hearts are telling us and subsequently we stop listening and learn to adapt to these "realities" - powers that dictate our actions and interactions. We may protest against these realities - react, but to really change anything we must create the freedom and strength to turn the tide. When people start working together to build the lifes and communities they want, then good things will happen!" Soren Groth
