I'ma have to start this with another question, y'all. Is it just me, or is Drew Peterson a G? I mean, the dude merc's his wife, right?....this is general public knowledge….he bodies his wife, then he starts up a website asking people to contribute dough to his defense. Come on…you can't knock the dude's hustle at all. According to CNN, the site received so much traffic that they had to shut it down. God bless America, the only country where people are rushing to throw their own loot behind the defense of a man who murdered his wife (save for most countries who practice honor killings).
What really interested me was that you could draw a direct comparison to hip-hop. Hip-hip is a genre where artist put out boo boo records and expect consumers to line their pockets for murdering the genre. Therefore, as someone who loves hip-hop music, it's just as absurd to me when these whack artists want to come out talking about, "Yo, go out and get my album…buy like 3 copies…and download my ringtone, too".
The oversaturation of the hip-hop market with garbage records is quite similar. Therefore, am I trippin, or is Drew Peterson hip-hop? I mean, I may be bugging out, but this really seems like a similar situation. Chalk up one point for all the whack hip-hop artists out there, cuz I understand your movement a little bit more. The label is pimping you anyway…get money my dudes.
