Vertical
It’s the last minute,
we are down to the wire
no time to get sentimental
it’s time to go
no use to over complicate
these allusive proceedings
speed is the only factor
in the moment we run
here is the wall
concrete
standing 30 feet above
no one to stop us
to knock us down
to keep us grounded
repairing torn wings is hard
it’s one of the hardest things
so we’ll scale the face
to leave this place
we must climb
