Finally after 2 years of writing and recording - GONE WILD II has finally been released on 13th May 2009. "GONE WILD II" is the double album follow-up to 2007's "GONE WILD" album. Comprosing 29 original songs this album packs more punch to its predecessor in places, whilst retaining the bands sound, GONE WILD have yet again tapped into their classic rock and blues roots and gotten back to shaking things up a bit. GONE WILD are: Rob Smith - Vocals, Guitars, Keyboards, Drums, Programming & Production Richard Anderson - Lead Vocals Matt Sturgess - Bass, Keyboards Songs range from the blues tinged "Is It Real?" to the hard rockers "I Caught You Out" to the downright asskickers "Oblivion", "The Living Dead" and "Thunder & Lightning". Also included are the tongue in cheek tunes "Georgia Peach" (a salute the beautiful US women) and "Bourbon Blues" (something GONE WILD know a lot about). "Rock This World" will be featured on the upcoming Versailles Records release "Anthem Rock Vol 1 & 2" (due for release in July 2009). Guest musicians on "GONE WILD II" were: Chris Szkup (Lead Guitars), Nils-Ole Finbak (Piano), Robin Wellaway (Sax) and MC Hizzy (Rap on the song "Oblivion") For ordering information please contact: Rob Smith robertsmith@xtra.co.nz or Richard Anderson breakfree74@hotmail.com GONE WILD are signed exclusively to Polar Music New Zealand - currently both Rob Smith and Matt Sturgess are working on solo albums, Richard is currently managing other artists and writing/recording for various projects including The Feckers "Greatest Hits 69". Any help in spreading the word where this album is concerned would be most appreciated. www.myspace.com/gonewildnz www.youtube.com/breakfree74/

Days Gone By (R. Anderson, R. Smith) (5:29) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Introduction by Rob Smith: It's an amazing thing that todays technology allows us to have made this album from opposite ends of the earth. It's no small feat either, as we have constructed this album from e-mail correspondence only, and that can be such a hinderance at certain times, and it certainly makes the bringing together of this album even more satisfying, that we have achieved our goal and come up with an album that Richard, Hayley and I are all truly proud of. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hayley: I first met Richard and Rob on soundclick. richard contacted me and introduced me to his and Rob's music. Later he made the suggestion of all three of us collaborating on a project, I was thrilled! at that point the project was to consist of one possibly two songs, intended for my solo cd, it was after we'd recorded "Let's Get To The Heart Of The Matter" and "I Can't Help But Feel The Way I Do" and we were all so happy with the result and worked so comfortably together that we decided to work on an album of our own. Rob: I have really enjoyed the making this album, working with Hayley and Richard has been a real pleasure. I have achieved all my goals with regards to the making of the album, and I do hope Hayley and Richard feel the same way. Richard: It's been a case of each song that is completed being meant to be I think. I'm sure both Rob and Hayley are pretty happy with their efforts, as well they should be. They've both been gracious in their working on this album, which is a bit of a bonus because quite often there will be moments where I'll scratch my head and think that something might not quite be 100% in a team situation, In this case I've not had any real complaints at all. It's been a relaxed association, which I think having approached things a song at a time has helped keep it that way.
