A song to warm the cockles of your heart...or cool your cockles if best for a hot climate...ha! BTY - "warm the cockles of the heart" refers to the heart's ventricles with usual meaning of "to warm and gratify one's deepest feelings". COOL!...HOT!

Band/artist history
The short of the long story is, other than founder/front man Dr. Bob (and rare other individual attribution, e.g., Vesna Zafirovic of Costa Del Sol, Spain), almost all of the JBBQ "Guys" (from quartet, sextet and even orchestra at times) choose to remain anonymous for various personal and professional musician/music business reasons (ranging from contractual to family to other restrictive matters). And members of JBBQ live in scattered areas of the world from France to England to Serbia to Spain to Germany to United States to elsewhere. Most of our music is for small ensemble, but when we go Classical or require orchestral backing, we use other world class players/friends in various symphony orchestras. Concerning the basic JBBQ core group for Jazz related songs and other eclectic music, we get together as possible from Paris to London to Belgrade to Timbuktu. But it's difficult and obviously expensive to conduct such music sessions. So, we use Internet/Computers/Programs for most songs/or "collabs" as commonly used for making music long distance via the Internet. ............................................. SONG CREDIT: "My Lover Loves Another"- Coauthor of words and music: Joan DesCarpentier of Guess, Texas. SONG INSPIRATION AND/OR DEDICATION: "So Sweet -N- Saxy"/also "Cupid Redux" - "To Doris & Terry DesCarpentier" - Joan DesCarpentier; "Jazzy Beverly" - Beverly (Bev) Getz (also honoring sax giant Stan Getz); "Sun Rays For The Blues" - Kathyrn Spencer; "Boppin' Lady Bebop"- "The Gypsy Lady" - "Meet Me At The Stork Club" - Grange Lady Haig Rutan; "Birthday Bop For Jen"/"Birthday Bebop For Jen Jen" - Jen Betts (also honoring jazz bass great Keter Betts); "Isle of Magnificent Martine" - Martine LaCompte of France. And, last but not least, song credit, dedication, and inspiration to all of "my guys" in Dr. Bob's JBBQ. In addition, Song Writing/Various Instrumentation/Vocals/A&R/Etc. - Dr. Bob Morrissey......as well as many wonderful contributing musicians around the world from England to France to Serbia to Germany to the United States and elsewhere.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We do not play live as "JBBQ". (However, many of the musicians associated with JBBQ play live either professionally or in special concerts/performances around the world. All of our JBBQ music is strictly for Internet Play and free song downloads - thanks to financial support from private/confidential sponsors of JBBQ.)
Your musical influences
ALL of the GREAT music and musicians of the past to the present and into the future. Thus, our JBBQ music is Eclectic of any Genre/Subgenre...and influences everything musically possible in our largely improvisational playing and resulting recordings.
What equipment do you use?
You name it and we have probably used it at one time or another. Of course, all of the traditional musical instruments as well as many of the more non-traditional ranging from ancient to modern including much of electronica. But the Computer and the Internet (as explained earlier in the info on "Band History") makes JBBQ possible, as we know it.
Anything else?
AS ALL OF JBBQ MUSIC IS ALREADY COLLAB, WE DO NOT DO UNSOLICITATED SONG COLLABORATIONS. NATURALLY, AS WE FEEL THAT OUR "FINAL" VERSION OF A RECORDED SONG IS COMPLETE, WE ALSO DO NOT PERMIT ANY OTHERS TO ADD THEIR MUSIC "TAKE" TO JBBQ COPYRIGHTED MUSIC.
