Eight Bit Sky (Original)

THE original!
Motionless Battle was started by Dan (the battle master) out of New York in early 2004. The best way to describe MB is "Progressive Instrumental Electronic 8bit Metal-core," with influences that range from Between the Buried and Me, and Thrice, to Within the Ruins, and Cynic. MB FULL LENGTH ALBUMS Motionless Battle has put out a number of material over the last half-decade. Starting with the first official on-line release of "Approaching Paradise" in 2005. This album leads you to the more ambient side of motionless battle; using pads, saws, square sounds, and percussion to start the revolution of "Video Game Music" in a nutshell. "AP" lead to many bigger and better things over the years. Shortly after, in early 2006 "The Field" was released online. This album contains a lot more of 8 bit wavs, NES Synths and Metal/Hardcore fused percussion to make a more "punishing" rhythmic portion than the previous release. This album was heavily influenced by early NES games such as Zelda, and Super Mario Bros. As the Motionless Battle timeline progresses; in late 2006, the 3rd official release "Eight Bit Sky" possesses the full blown "Nintendo-Core" sound to the listener. A straight mix of hardcore/metal; with the essence of video game music with out using any live instruments including guitars, bass or even guitar sounds. "The Fortress Of Discord" was then released in early to mid 2008. This album was what got MB where it is today. T.F.O.D brings you psychotic nintendo music fused with metal-core breakdowns. With samples such as crunchy guitar sounds, pad synths, NES synth and percussion sounds, and not to mention punchy drums to enhance breakdowns. And last but not least the latest release out of the MB catacombs entitled "Defeatism." The words to describe the material could be as painless as "Progressive.Epic.Crushing, and Mystical" !!!NEW ALBUM COMING SOON!!!
