I'm a hobbyist musician/composer who just enjoys playing my synthesizers.
I've played keyboards for as long as I can remember. Covers, my own compositions, and just general improvisations and playing around.
I've never played live, but it would have been fun to try it.
I'm influenced by any music I listen to, which comes from a broad range of genres. I grew up listening to "traditional" synth music like Jarre or Vangelis, but in the recent years I've been listening more to pop music, world music, New Age, trance...
My music is influenced by all of these, but it's important for me not to imitate anyone else. I just want to explore my own paths, melodies, themes, and concepts in music. The hardest part is to determine which genre of my music. I had to choose a genre, so I chose Electronica as I play synthesizers.
I always try to keep the music fresh and new. This is accomplished by never playing long enough so that I get bored or tired. The moment I don't want to play anymore, I switch off the synths and do something else. This way I am never sick and tired of playing and I always come back for more. :-)
Korg M3 synthesizer with Radias expansion card, standalone Korg Radias synth, Novation Nova desktop synthesizer, and the Akai EWI4000s Electric Wind Instrument which I use as a MIDI controller for the M3.
