sixteen-year-old J-Magix of Montgomery, AL is the first of a new wave of young hip-hop producers set to recreate the southern music scene. With the complexity and creativeness depth of producers twice his age, J-Magix stands alone in comparison to his peers. His sound is first and foremost southern, but he has the natural ability to narrate his music and dialogue with a hard-core edge. Jonathan "J-Magix" Brown is one of two children born to Linda & James Brown in Montgomery, Alabama. J-Magixâs childhood was surrounded by music. At the tender age of 9, he begun to study and learn musical techniques on numerous instruments. An experience like this is what separates J-Magix from the current set of young producers. His life has created a dialogue from which he produced. By easily standing out in battle producers, local talent contests and teen clubs in Montgomery. J-Magix has caused many listeners to take notice. When asked about where he draws his inspiration, he modestly replies, âœI just watch the pioneers before me, stay true to myself, and produce music for my listeners to enjoy.â쳌 J-Magix admits that he canât specifically say how long he has been producing, but quantifies it by saying as long as he can remember. J-Magix's infectious style and creative prowess has attracted an all star cast of support and power players. Some of J-Magix's most recent projects feature production credits by Lil Chappy, King South, 334 Mobb, and DJ Cousin Dee. J-Magixâs drive and unrelenting work ethic combined with his God given talent will undoubtedly place him in the forefront of the producing game.
