Name Goes Here started in the summer of 2004, just writing simple grunge/Nirvana rip-offs, and they recorded their first demo-CD-album (what-have-you) in Geneseo, New York. The album was called "From the Riverbed," but the concept and all but maybe one or two songs from that CD were thrown out.
Then, new ideas for songs started arising and more dynamic songs began to form, and music with more feeling in it poured into an album titled "All in Favour Say I," which was finally finished January of 2008. Rather than ripping off Nirvana, they pretty much just ripped off Brand New, but in an original way.
Name Goes Here ruined my life.
We are very much into bands like Brand New and Nirvana. Other influences: Alkaline Trio, Kevin Devine, other music that doesn't just suck ass.
