Randy Morris, a drummer since the young age of six, lived right around the corner from Chris Lee. In their younger years, the two, along with Nick V. and Ryan C. (aka Clint Black), perfected their vocal skills by singing un-manly pop songs in Randy's garage. Meanwhile Jimmy Young was becoming a virtuoso on the strings. He played violin in the school orchestra and also played electric bass guitar in Jazz band. For a period in time he played in a band with Lee. Pat had been playing guitar for years, and had just jumped on as the bassist for The Bright Light Motion, when he noticed Maple Ave looking for a lead guitarist. After a handful of practices, his playing style, and punk rock background seemed to blend with the band's intentions, and landed him the 4th spot in the band's roster. Maple Avenue was formed in the summer of 2005. The idea of a so called band was conceived when Chris Lee decided to leave his old band for a number of reasons. Lee wanted to get new music running through his veins and so did these three other excellent musicians/friends. All four of us decided to jam and see what would happen. Now, we found out that each of us had what it takes to create the sacred bond called a band.
