The Glass Spider is an one-man-project from Hamm Rock City/Germany started in October 2007. The Music was produced in a small homestudio in the appartment where TGS lives. Someone says TGS sounds like Sisters of Mercy, The 69Eyes or Nick Cave. Well, thats nice - but not the truth: TGS is a kind of "Gothic Punk" - but whats the Hell is that ?!? Some Punkrock-roots with Gothicrock and a little bit NuRock Style ? Sure, maybe its like that - but there are more in this. The easiest way to find out is listen the TGS sound and you will see what i mean.
Band/artist history
In February 2008 TGS released the first record "Lost in the Dark" which was published on the Netlabel Sounds Alive Records. The Sound on this Album changes between cause in was a time to learn, find out and get more equipment. At the End "Lost in the Dark" was more a demo as an album. In June 2008 TGS release the EP "Resistance" which was a better quality sound & music product as "Lost in the Dark". It contains 7 Songs and this time published on Sounds Alive Records & Stereo Shaolin 3000. With Markus Schmitt, Axel Zabel (from Bokamo) and Fullkey there was some musicians who gives parts for "Resistance" and gives the Album some special. At the moment TGS is working on two Albums. The third own album with the working title "the entering code" and a pure coveralbum (working titel: [dis]cover). Both will released in the Year 2009.
