Moon Over The Rip

Ambient electronic chillout.
Navarre is a solo songwriter/producer based in Sydney, Australia. His style is distinctly emotive ambient and chillout. Navarre's philosophy is "If a song or piece of music does not send a shiver of some emotion down your spine, then what's the point?" Previously writing and producing all his material in the studio on keyboards, he has recently begun teaching himself the guitar and is writing the new album acoustically as he wants an earthy, organic feel and also to be able to perform the new material without the need for amplified equipment. Navarre is spending 2008 writing the new album and perfecting the performance before touring Europe in 2009. Navarre has also written an film soundscore.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I will be playing live towards the end of the year
Your musical influences
Musically I grew up listening to Alan Parsons and Mike Oldfield. Then it was Tangerine Dream. I have always been into soundtracks and I think that James Horner is a God! I was right into Sisters of Mercy as an adolescent which shows in my vocals. I love Depeche Mode and sound almost identical to David Bowie vocally. I would have to say however that Chicane is the artist I look up to the most.
What equipment do you use?
ProTools, Dell Laptop, Yamaha acoustic, Behringer B1 condensor, Nord Lead
