Long Road Home

Takes the listener through a year in music and natural sounds
Aaron plays flute, percussions, and midi sequencer. He mixes, masters and produces his own music in the Colorado Rocky Mountains at Touch the Sky Productions. Aaron's favorite studio however, is outdoors in the mountains, playing while the wolves accompany him with their beautiful yet lonely song.
Band/artist history
Aaron began playing the Native American flute several years ago after many life experiences put him on the road of searching for a spirituality that made sense on the world he saw. Aaron ultimately looked back to his Native American religion where he found a true oneness with creation and the creator. Aaron originally played only for his own spirituality and for the benefit of family and friends. Several years later (seven years ago), Aaron got involved with the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center through his Daughter Katy and wife Teri, who volunteered there caring for the animals. Aaron performed a number of functions for the Wolf Center, the towns of Cripple Creek and Victor, and Native American weddings and funerals in Colorado. Shortly after Aaron began to perform publicly, people began asking where they could purchase his music. The rest (as they say) is history!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, I play live. Nobody would hire me if I played dead! (HA!) I love playing out at the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center, as the wolves who sing with me on the CDs sing with me live. Sometimes they get so carried away, that I can't hear myself! In those times, I just stop and let the masters make their music. I play Native American music festivals, weddings, funerals, and am often hired to play special events around Colorado.
Your musical influences
Many Native American traditional and contemporary artists have influenced me; including Brule, R. Carlos Nakai, Mary Youngblood, and Eddie Three Eagles.
What equipment do you use?
When playing live, I have to have my backup music on the system and backing tracks, as I play that also and mix them in studio. So, I guess other than the flutes (16 of them) and sound equipment, that's about it!
