MADISON PROJECT is: Ryan MacNeill- Guitar/Vocals Forrest Thomas- Drums Ben Kogan- Bass Madison Project was formed in 2004, when Ryan MacNeill (guitar/vocals) and Forrest Thomas (drums) met. They were playing experimental groove music with their band in Vermont, though not quite realizing what could come of this; it was the engine that evolved into Madison Project. Ryan started to turn a new direction in writing, with heavier songs and more focus on songwriting and hooks. Madison Project lyrics touch on the subject life, loss, nightmares, addiction, and this other world that we might find but are blind to see. Ryan MacNeill grew up in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts and heavily influenced by the expanding community of the local street punk scene. Then branching out to the West Coast underground scene of the mid 90’s punk rock bands, most of the bands located in the Southern California area. Since grade school, Ryan played in many punk rock bands, and then expanding his knowledge to heavily composed jazz oriented rock music. Ryan has played on the Van’s Warped Tour stage and shared the stage with national acts such as The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Dispatch. Forrest spent his early days in Los Angeles, California playing drums at clubs like The Roxy, Troubadour, The Whiskey Go-Go. Ben spent his time doing shows on the East Coast, and pursuing a music degree at University of Miami. Madison Project connected with producer and engineer Frank Aversa (Spin Doctors/The Hazies) and Robby Baier to record their debut album, “I am the Target.” The response of our fans has been overwhelming, calling Madison Project, “The next generation of popular music.” Madison Project is a high energy live show that will bring your soul to a new level and leave you in bliss. “I am the Target,’ is set to release on ThunderCreek Records; October 2007.
