Lowlander is the result of a lovechild between the Misfits, The Ramones, Guns N Roses, Weezer, Green Day, and The Stooges. This truly different, unique, fresh band fuses the best parts of pop punk, rock, and alternative into a distinctive sound that challenges any label or category.
The heart and soul of Lowlander is to write original music to introduce to the masses. We hope to continually gain the respect and interest from fans, peers, and other bands because we care about the people that listen to us! All three members are West Virginia natives with Scottish roots. The members being Jim Courtney as lead vocals/drums; Kris Boynes as lead guitar; and Sean Boynes on rhythm and bass guitars. Currently, we have just finished our debut album ("We Need To Talk") and it is available at www.cdbaby.com/cd/lowlander. Thank you for checking us out, please listen to our music and let us know your thoughts. The only bad input is the one never stated, so speak your mind. KEEP ROCK AND ROLL ALIVE!!!
It's always fun to play a show... no matter what!!! I guess one performance that stands out for us was a benefit show, in which the crowd resembled the bar-goers from the Blues Brothers movie when they went to the country bar to perform. We really came very close to playing "Rawhide" and "Stand By Your Man." But, somehow, we managed to win the crowd over and made it through the show in one piece.
