Sakura Pups

In your face, unforgiving Lolitacore

Myspace's first ever lolitacore artists, Sakura Pups, has been happily releasing grindcore for cute people since 2007. Using whatever music programs he can, the "Cherry Blossom Canine" has made both the weirdest and most brutal cybergrind he possible can, ranging from just seconds to epic opuses of song's, making noise, breakcore, industrial, synth-pop and techno along the way. Formed officially in 2005 using a keyboard and a tape recorder under no name whatsoever, Trevor made 4 tracks of noisy, strange, unreleasable garbage that soon got lost and was never to be recovered. Skip to 2006, when Trevor met four individuals in college, attempting to form the synth-grind band "Furry Yuri San a.k.a. The Lesbian Kitty," mainly as a tribute to Bubblegum Octopus. After no time whatsoever, the project failed, and Trevor began writing short, fast, loud and heavy tracks on Sony Acid Music Maker 5. It was then the name Sakura Pups came about, and his first tracks ever were released online to the world. After meeting Kodek of DEXANDTHECITY Records, he released his first official release (the first one he made never got released) "The New(est) Black" on that small netlabel in 2007. Enjoying a small amount of success, he began working on his second official release. That is until the infamous hard-drive crash of 2007, where over 1000 unfinished and finished songs were wiped off the face of the planet, never to be heard. Later that year, with a new hard-drive, a new program (Magix Music Maker Deluxe 12) and a new motivation, Sakura Pups started working furiously, recording over 30 songs, none up to par with his standards. A year went by with no intent to release and/or make any new SP material. That is, until "Carving You With An Electric Chainsaw=Going Green" started production. Originally under the name "The (even) New(est) Black," Sakura Pups began to take a more serious turn, with gruesome, politically driven lyrics and a new approach to song-writing, Sakura Pups teamed up with Dramacore, and in early 2010, put out the heaviest Sakura Pups album to date. March 7th, 2010 proved to be a turning point, as Sakura Pups began running his own netlabel, Cherry Blossom Dog Records. With 7 releases at the time of writing, the lolitacore godfather has proven he can do much more than make eardrums shatter and bleed.
