Band/artist history
2006 - Diego, a long time friend of Guigo's (they played together for years in Rockacola) joined forces with the band and start rehearsing for some gigs. The band moves to another dimention, the pre-production and recording of a second demo, maybe an EP; previous songs are to be released in two local compilations. Finally, we are rehearsing new songs, exploring new melodies and recording techniques. It's all a big secret, but it will pay off soon. What happened to Vitor? He couldn't get away, he couldn't be apart, he stood up and sang on our late gig and shook people up and down and all around. Things fall apart, but not the virgens! Oh yeah! That's the way, aham aham... 2005 - Many gigs on the first seven months, many exposure to new sounds and technologies (here in Braslia, the access to equipment is so limited that we endure for years to build a home studio); we start to compose new songs (althought I have to admit that I never stop doing that, just for the kicks), rehearsed cover songs from obscure bands and started to feel the need to rest. Guigo was invited to play on another band, Capotones, and Vitor found himself with a diploma in his hands and no perspective of making a living playing on a rock 'n roll band. That was the plan, wasn't it? I don't remember. 2004 - The first time we really played more than one gig a month, produced a show and rehearsed to record our first demo. We were a band that believed on live sound, making live music; but we were playing for a friendly audience, not surprised anymore. We recorded a 4-track analog piece of work at Guigo's house and in my living room that really costed the tapes and the beers we drank during that 2 day experience... we were so prepared. Then we were back to reality, university, and I got this job in a professional studio, so I took that demo and mixed for free in a place we couldn't afford. By the way, we still can't afford it. :) 2003 - Virgem Again becomes an official band, playing wherever we were invited, whatever the structure, whenever possible; we started to buy and use our own equipment live (wich is unusual in Braslia) in order to improve our sound ; Guigo decided it was time to sit on the drums and explore new arrangements; Vitor always seemed to be learning. Those were the days the band found itself away from personalities; the band was, period. 2002 - I (Breno) played with my brother, Vitor, in a band called Chantilly; Guigo played with Rockacola, both bands were on vacation; we decided to have a third band. The sound was raw, the tunes were two minutes long, the vibe was perfect; we called ourselves Virgem Again. Guigo used to play standing up (very sexy with red stockings), Vitor played backwards (he was drunk), I played without effects because I couldn't work them (very drunk)... it was live and loud and the crowd loved it, they understood our love driven songs, they loved us back from day one. Five songs composed in one day, two rehearsals. Two months later, our bands fall apart... and we played the weekend after.
