Band/artist history
January 1999, Kameron Perry with a lot of free time on his hands, a love of music and a younger brother who played the drums lays the foundations of a band. In June 99 Nathan mentioned to Kameron a girl he heard playing rhythm Guitar in school and called her for an audition. Thats how Corinne Walters became the first rhythm guitarist of what was then called "The Heretics". Dean Munro was also called upon to perform lead vocals for the band. It was 4 months later that the band felt a need for a lead guitarist so Nicky Edmunds, a friend of Kameron's was asked to join. After 3 months of hard work and many more hours of practising, "The Heretics" performed their debut at a Christmas Special in the local pub "The Leigh". The band was a hit and was asked to perform there several times more over the past years. It was during this time that discussions started about renaming the band. February 2000 "The Heretics" became "Virtuoso" before finally deciding to change and keep the name you all know today "Vaigen". It was during the summer of 2000, the night of the first "Sneg-Fest" that it was agreed it would be better for the band if Corinne was to leave because of disputes at home involving her mom. With no rhythm guitarist and a week long festival only two days away, Vaigen called upon a friend of Nicky's, Micheal Bullen to fill the gap. The new line up was very successful, even attracting a "suit" from Virgin Records. But in order to get a contract, were asked to change their image and style of music. Of course Vaigen declined. With Nicky's performance and stage presence becoming more and more difficult to deal with, Kameron had to let him go in order to save Vaigens image and reputation. With Nicky gone, Kameron turned to Mike to step up from Rhythm Guitarist to Lead. Kameron called upon Eddie, Chris Edwards, his best friend to wipe the dust of his guitar and actually learn something. At this time, Vaigen also recruited a keyboardist, but he was in and out faster than a granny in a night club. As strange as it was, Nicky and Kameron put their heads together and Nicky rejoined to become lead guitarist along with Mike. A few weeks after Nicky had rejoined Vaigen, he and Mike Bullen decided to venture out and form their own band. Leaving Vaigen on their own a few weeks before they were due to appear on Showcase TV in London. James Taylor, an old friend of Kameron's called, who at the time was part of another failing band. Already being a fan of Vaigen he snatched up the offer to be lead. Eddie left Vaigen after just a couple of years to pursue other things just before the bands were set to play Megaday 2005. Nicky just snatched up the offer and things have been going well ever since. With a stand in replacement while James had some time off Chris Bradley showcased with Vaigen at many events. April 2006, Cameron went in search of another rhythm guitarist and through the old knowing someone who knows some one who knows some one . he found Bob. Bob was invited to have a jam with Cameron and he did so and he soon joined Vaigen.
