"Many, O LORD my God, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are towards us: they cannot be counted up in order to you: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered." Psalms:40:5
This is what my music is all about.
I am self taught on the guitar. I was a big fan of The Beatles and Bob Dylan in my early days and developed my playing style by studying and performing their songs primarily.
I have shared my music at many home fellowships and church services both in California and Minnesota over the years. I have also performed at Christian Coffee Houses around the Sacramento area. I have shared at public parks and beaches and with friends.
Initially I was greatly influenced by secular artists such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Moody Blues, CSNY, Led Zeppelin, CCR, Bread, Joni Mitchell, John Denver, Simon & Garfunkle, Donovan and later by CCM artists such as Chuck Girard, Randy Stonehill, Michael Card, Larry Norman, Petra, Lamb, Phil Keaggy and Keith Green. My music is generally Easy Listening to Soft Rock with a little Folk, Country and R&B mixed in for good measure.
The instrument of choice for me is my Aria 12 string acoustic guitar. Sometimes a harmonica. I also have a Gibson Les Paul electric but I prefer the acoustic 12 string because of the more robust sound. I hear melodies when playing the 12 string that I wouldn't have heard on a 6 string.
My songs are a musical diary of my life. They chronicle the changes and growth I have experienced as I learned from life's challenges. During my search for a closer understanding of who my creator is I was enriched along THE WAY. It is now my heartfelt desire to share these lessons with you hoping that you will be enriched too.
