Tony Reid is a singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer from the Wirral, UK. His voice brings to mind soulful vocalists from the past, while his guitar work ranges from delicate acoustic finger-picking to heavy riffs and screaming guitar solos. His sounds run the gamut from gospel through psychedelic rock and trip hop to Delta blues to minimalist funk. Artists he has drawn comparisons with include Todd Rundgren, Massive Attack, Free, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Curtis Mayfield and Lynyrd Skynyrd. He works out of his own small studio producing local artists, as well as his own material. He has released one solo album called "Unknown Hemisphere", but is currently recording demos for a new release in 2015.
Tony also writes for, produces and performs with Liverpool rock trio Limehawk.
I play anywhere. Supporting Glenn Hughes and Dan Reed have been highlights, for sure.
Ovation Elite electro acoustic and a Parker P36 for stage and studio. I like Blackheart and Orange amplifiers for clean and dirty work respectively. Neumann microphones in studio and Sennheiser/Shure onstage.
Tony was named a Key Player for Fret King in 2013.
