About The Fly: Two Words: Ceremony Master. This is what the Cerebral Sensei considers himself and this is what he constantly challenges himself to improve upon. When I was much younger I used to make my own tape recorded “radio” shows for fun. But I didn’t fall in love with hip hop until the age of eleven on a trip to my cousins house when he forced me to kick my first ever freestyle and the rest as they say is history. In my later years in high school I once again began to freestyle in a crew that was known as The Famous Playas. We used to make mixtapes for fun and every couple songs there there would be a freestyle by yours truly. At the end of high school this group broke up because I went one way and the other members went another. But maybe it was for the best. Because in the spring of 1997 I went to college and that is where I met up with Sawnyk and once again I was thrown into the freestyling ring again. After vigorous months of basement training me and Sawnyk came together to do our first recorded track, a 6 minute masterpiece known as The TPS KO. There has been no looking back since then. Currently I am working on not only sharpening my rhyming skills but I have also began to getting in production. This new task has been both challenging and rewarding. My favorite MC’s are The late great Notorious B.I.G., Lauryn Hill and Mos Def. My influences range everywhere from R&B to Gospel to Country and Alternative music. My quest is to establish Canada as the superpower that it is and to show Canada that T-Dot and VanCity aren’t the only places where mc’s dwell. Oshawa is real and the Shwa movement is coming ready or not. It is my mission to expose the wack by opening the world’s eyes to the true art of versatility and to become and all around dominant force in the world of entertainment.and that’s only for starters.
