THE UNLUCKY OREGON LOVE CURSE OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Patrick Hart has always had a passion for music and performing. In fact, as far back as he can remember music has always been a huge part of his life. A great example of this is his mothers picture of him singing into a microphone as a toddler. With songs in his heart Patrick has a drive to become much more than an unaccomplished burnout before he dies. Playing at school functions and being a part of school bands and choirs Patrick has been performing practically from his first years of school. He has performed at Open Mic nights as well as Coffee houses and local venues over the last few years, although his dream is to travel the world with a band and a record contract (being a solo musician gets very lonely and boring at times). Life wise he has tried to take his experiences and fuel his music and hopes that whoever listens will feel that. While Patrick loves music he also has an equal fear of it, seeing as it is instilled in today's youth that that dreaming of making it in the music business, is just that: dreaming. He hopes to one day show anybody as fearful but as hopeful as him that anyone with that dream can make it. He believes that too much pride in ones work is the artist killer, and thinks there are always ways to improve upon ones music. Patrick's Motto, is Peace Love & Rock'N'Roll. Those three things explain his core beliefs in the easiest way possible. So please enjoy the music and take care.
Band/artist history
I started playing guitar seriously around 13 years old, having finally convinced my parents I was serious about music I obtained my first working guitar (my first one being one that could barely hold tune)and having a love for singing only came natural that songwriting came next, I wanted to find a way to make my music as original as I could, although mostly about love and life like most music the thing that I hope people notice about my music is it is real, most of my songs come from my experiances. While not intricate in the least for while music is my life I tend to lean toward telling the story more than making the music and my singing perfect. On that note I have also had to battle with a very bad bout of perfectionism that leads me now to take that more laid back approach (while of course learning more about music in the process) for I have been writing songs for years and have published nothing for the shear fact that I was never happy with any of it. I have learned that no matter how unhappy I am with them I need to trust those around me to be honest and rely on them to push me to push myself to get out there and not worry about it as much. So that's my story thus far.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes. Lately it's been in McMinnville, OR. I'm hoping to get some gigs around here as well, here being Independence, Monmouth, Dallas, Salem, Eugene, and Portland. Yes I love it very very very much indeed, Theres nothing like the rush of adrenaline and nerves you get being in front of people showing them a very intimate part of yourself. Actually I do have a very special show in mind for my moment, At Cornerstone Coffee Roasters in McMinnville. It went so amazingly well, my best Friend John Hall and I did the best we ever have at a show that night, everthing just went amazing and I'm hoping that my performance continues to grow even better, because that's a very big part of what makes great musicians is growth.
Your musical influences
Every band I've ever listened to that I liked or even disliked has influenced me in some way or another, I love about every type of music, ranging from hard rock to soft rock, pop to r&b, country to bluegrass, classical and all of those smaller types of music that are bigger in other parts of the world. I tend to take things from each type, I like to make people wonder what I was trying to go for if anything (usually the latter). My Best Friend John Hall, Sting & The Police, Incubus, Nirvana, Coldplay, Jeff Buckley Ben Folds, and Gavin Degraw are some of my biggest influences.
What equipment do you use?
Coming Soon....
Anything else?
