CoDe ReDD (kod red)
noun
According to Webster’s New Millennium Dictionary of English CoDe ReDD means a very serious security warning; a warning about a very serious threat.
Consider yourself to be warned! But don’t be afraid of the name. The newest groups representing South Carolina are on the fast track to success with their own original style of deep southern hip-hop club funk music. They pose a threat to all other artists in the rap game who called themselves mic controllers (also know as emcees). With imaginative music that is systematically arranged to transmit messages and dynamic stage shows that radiate energy to drive their fans wild. Keep in mind that even though CoDe ReDD is gaining statewide popularity and recognition, their mission is still incomplete.
CoDe ReDD started in Darlington, SC home of the Darlington Speedway the group consists of six members aging from 19 to 23. Together since 1997, most of the members are in college at USC and Benedict College. With their life experiences from undergraduate studies they hope to propel their music careers to higher heights.
CoDe ReDD began traveling to different cities throughout the southeast performing and promoting themselves plus their music. CoDe ReDD has opened night club shows and concerts for many national recording artist(s) such as: The Ying Yang Twins, T.I., Jadakiss, Master P, David Banner, Pastor Troy, Murphy Lee, Memphis Bleek, Trina, Youngbloodz, Mr. Cheeks and Crime Mob. They’ve received radio play on WWDM 101.3 FM, WHXT 103.9 FM, WYNN 106.3 FM, WSBF 88.1 FM, WUSC 90.5 FM, and WWWZ 93.3 FM (South Carolina Stations).
