Something That I've Missed

A fast, hard-rockin tune.
We are a hard-rockin semi-progressive band from Northern New Jersey. We've been together 2 years and looking to pile on a third soon enough. In that time we've cut a five song demo, played a handful of notable shows, and shifted the lineup around quite a bit. Our current lineup (which we have no plans of changing) is: Paul Schmidt: Bass-Vocals-Not knowing what's going on-Being a lady's-Using practical reasoning when there seems to be none left in the band. Steve Costa: Guitars-Vocals-Lyrics-Figuring out what's wrong with things-Being the handyman-Always having a girlfriend-Getting easily frustrated at the stupidity of others. Jordan Pantaleo: Guitars-Vocals-Lyrics-Incoherent ramblings about things no one cares about-The ability to amaze people with song length-Bizaare antics that are beyond explanation. Pat Garofalo: Drums-Lyrics-Claiming to be the resident genious then denying he is one a minute later-Being the oldest in the band by a mile-Overoccupying himself with stuff without ever seeming stressed.
Your musical influences
Paul listens to everything. Huge Elvis fan, but can get into bands such as Ramstein as well. Victor Wooten and Les Claypool (Primus) are two of his favorite bass players. Steve rocks out to Fuel, Alterbridge, NickelBack, but has metal tendancies as well. He's a fan of Pantera and Metallica, most notibly. Mark Tremonti really inspires Steven and Joe Satriani is someone he's amazed, as far as guitar goes. Jordan is a Prog freak. His main men are Dream Theater, Transatlantic, Tool, The Flower Kings, Neal Morse, and Symphony X. He can keep it simple though, at times, with the likes of Collective Soul. His primary influence is John Petrucci from Dream Theater. Pat draws lots of influence from Carter Beauford. He also is in awe of the Jazz drumming of Buddy Rich. Pat's a big time alternative rocker. Better Than Ezra, Matchbox Twenty, and Thrid Eye Blind are way up there on his list, although... he has been caught dabbling in the realm of TransAtlantic recently.
What equipment do you use?
Cort and Ibanez acoutic guitars. Cort and Ibanez Basses. Ibanez, Washburn, and Fender electric guitars. Digitech and Zoom effects. Crate, Marshall, Fender, and Ampeg amps. Sabian Cymbals. Tama drums. Remo heads. Sure mics. Yamaha PA system.
