After nearly 10 years of hip hop John Curtis dropped the alias Tequnique and turned to the other genres in his quest to quench his musical thirst. John is at home with an instrument in his hands. He seems to have the ability to use any mode of making sound after only a short bit of practice. He approaches music one song at a time giving him the ability to learn to play by ear and what sounds good rather than mastering the technical aspect. Since music is best played with soul and not robotic fingering this approach seems to keep his music sounding very grass roots and origional. To putit into metaphore John Curtis is a small brush fire waiting for that strong gust of wind to expand his existance. Only time will tell what is made of this young budding artist.
- Founding father of the short lived hip hop group V.I.C.E
- One member of the hip hop trio Konques
- As a solo artist known as Tequnique recorded over 100 songs (actually numbers skewed by loss of songs and numerous rough drafts that never made it to final copy)
- Singer/Songwriter in a rock duo called Rock Statik which was looking for players before disbanding to move to different locations(May get back togather in the near future)
If there is ears to listen, John is playing for them.
