trying not to undo what hasn't yet been done! These recordings have been sporadically produced over the last three years; I hope to have new tracks up at a more frequent rate... This includes jam songs (Grateful Dead), and songs with many detours and lots of dynamics (Rickie Lee Jones, Dave Matthews). Although most of my song...

It's just me solo, on my own. I have been known to collaborate and record with others. I enjoy creating music in a variety of genres such as pop, rock, jazz, classical style, big band and even some orchestral music. My recording set-up is fairly simple: a Mackie Spike USB soundcard with Traktion recording software. I use Sibelius software for score writing. My main instrument is guitar: I mainly use a Yamaha SG1000 and a Yamaha APX 9 nylon strung.

I have played the guitar since my early teens and for most of my adult life. It was only in 2011 that I became inspired to write a few fingerstyle pieces. I received encouragement and favourable responses from other like minded acoustic guitar enthusiasts on various forums (in particular 'Acoustic Life' (not active now) and Acoustic Soundboard) so those tunes are included here. Most were recorded using a basic Zoom H1 and some may have had a minimum amount of 'tweaking' to adjust the vagaries
Creating an eclectic mix of Rock, Pop, Country, and Blues. Hope you enjoy! My band is called The Smokin' Ace. You'll be hearing a lot more about it soon. I'm currently finishing writing several brand new blues songs and will start production in the first quarter of next year. The songs need to be tweaked a little because I want them to be perfect. When it's done, it'll be some of the hottest Blues you ever heard. The song on this site, 'Call 911' featuring Jimmy Hall is a preview, but I got s...
