I've been following a passion for playing since I was about 7 years old. When Soul, MoTown and the British Invasion sounds were on the air waves, I wanted a guitar so badly I went out worked in a farmer's field for a day and earned $10! My mom kicked in another $20 dollars and a single pickup Beltone guitar was mine!
As fortune would have it, a guitar player lived around the corner that helped me with learning chords and my first songs. I got to hang out with him and see his band play at drive in restaurants and practices. Quite a big deal for a 7year old. Then I hear Jimi Hendrix and wow ... I had to learn lead guitar!
Now teaching music full time for the past 4 years, and I still have a passion to express with my guitar. My students get established with guitar playing though various learning materials including thier choice of songs. We get into notation, tabulature, and ear training. In many lessons, sheet music is provided for the student and guidence to performance. Private lessons are complimented with audio, visual, and examples.
