Supplication, born Kaycee Cousins resides in Jacksonville, FL. Now 23 years old, he reflects "I was always heavily influenced by worldly music as a youth! It was my life!” In 2005 he started taking his love for music seriously through rapping. “Unfortunately, the music that I was surrounded by, manage to have a greater negative impact on my life.” Living a lifestyle consumed with sex, liquor and drugs which consequently lead to numerous hospital visits, helped him realize how truly hopeless & helpless he truly was. Through all that he was shown the power of the cross and its true meaning, leaving him broken. He left that place in his life a new creature, through the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit!
While in a weekly fellowship Supplic8tion came across the scripture 1 Corinthians 10:31 "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.(ESV). He immediately applied that to his music. When asked what his music's mission is now, he stated, "To convey the glorious gospel Of Christ Jesus, help people fall out of "love" with the world, and in "Love" with God." He hasn't taken the instruction of 2 Timothy 2:15 lightly either, as he's carefully penned his music to creatively line up with scripture. The desire of his heart is that his music delivers the Gospel in its purest sense. "Without the Gospel, my music is nothing... Ecclesiastes 1:2 says Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity."
