Kimberly Simmons has come a long way from her University of Houston dorm room where she would upload singing videos to YouTube. Today, her videos have gained over 255,800 views and won over the hearts of countless fans. Kimberly’s singing and song-writing skills have been commended by major music producers and have captivated audiences at multiple competitions.
Kimberly, a 24-year-old Houston native, discovered her love for singing and song-writing at the age of 12. Raised in a home where R&B, blues and soul music was in heavy rotation, it’s no wonder her musical influences include Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye. Kimberly pursues her goals with fearless determination, staying true to her motto, “Anything worth having is worth working hard for.”
