Thanks "bro".....I'm thinkin I may cut them a bit longer, and continue to weave them toward the tail, just to ensure that the outer strings get complete dampning. I tried (my MK came with them) the rubber baby bumpers, (if you will) but on my first string change, one of them took a flight to gosh knows where, and I STILL haven't found it! (lol).

I would say that your leather parts are sufficient for dampening. I use four rubber grommets and position them between the strings toward the tailpiece. I slide them around a little to get the best position and get rid of the overtones. I think either method is cool long as it works for ya! regards, bro
