Reginald T. Lewis Jr. aka Lil reggie was born and raised in Richmond VA.On March 17 1992,he come from a family of 2 him an his younger brother Tyrell Lewis.His mother was a single parent, she worked 10 to 12 hours a day and had 3 jobs just to support them. Reggie would always go with her to work an bring a pad an pen so he could sketch, he soon started writing lyrics. At age 7 his mother was diagonose with breast cancer, she had lost her job an was strugglen. Reggie expressed his self in lyrics.He lived all threw richmond va from northside, eastend, an southside Richmond va.Coming up he looked up to his stepfather .Who has been in his life foreva so he knows him as his real father. His biological dad he knew little about. He seen him off an on.Heard diffrent stories about him.When he was young he used to stay with his aunts alot just being around them he learned alot. They expressed there self threw music 2 but not rapping or singing but dancing.When he was 8 Reggie entered a school talent show. An won 1st place. That his 1st ever performance. Had the crowd rockin. He says. Coming up around southside richmond he seen alot of things. His mom was sick an he barely seen her. It would be days before He seen her again. So like every child searching for love he turned to the streets warick rd. Woodbriar apts.Mexico city he calls it. From guns to coke he seen it. Reggie was always was an laid back dude never was a rowdy guy. He says Quote. "I just chill an observe shit",i never thought i would be rappn". He failed school 3 times.Not because he wasnt smart but he was just focused on money his grades were always good. He just missed alot of days. "When there was bread to be made you gota go get it what ever it takes" Reggie says.He always thought he would go to the nfl an be the best linebacker there every was,But soon his mother got really sick the cancer was in her bones. So they moved there dad in henrico va eastend Richmond. Where he was on a whole diffrent page than what Reggie was on. His father was really into the gospel Reggie was really into the streets an the fast life. He stayed away from the drug game because of sports but when the season was over it was back to salen grams Reggie says. He had moved with his dad things around the south got Intense. People Reggie was real close with got killed, family members had got murder an people were goin to jail."Even the girls i messed with were tricking it got real round the south Reggie says."It felt i was pulled from there for a reason i might of been next" he says. Reggie says he seems to always find trouble in 2008 may 5th he was shot in my arm around fulton hill off carlise ave. Just coming from a Friends home.Reggie says "I really dont remember what happen but it was the worst feeling ever".I was really shaken up but it didnt make a diffrence i was still gone do what i want".After freshman year he got locked up on drug distubition charges. (6 months) Reggie says "It seems like baby time but when your 17 shit get real". While locked he wrote 230 songs. Says he wasnt doing it thinkin this is what im gone do when he came home he was just tryn to make time go by faster. He soon started rappn on diffrent pods. The whole jail was Likeing his music. Reggie says "I was making dudes time go by faster just by spittn 16 bars for them." Soon they was sayn i should really do this carrer wise. But he wasnt gone let anybody sale me a dream. He didnt pay it anymind. Reggie says "When u with them walls an stareing at the ceiling you think about life, n what do you want out of it". He thought why shouldnt he try it, he dedicated hisself to it, it wasnt a day that went pass where he wasnt writen gettn better. Reggie came home january 15 2010.He has been running into dream salen people every since. A&R who did nothing for him but take his money an sale a dream.
