Pretty much all my life ive been into music. Raised with ABBA (lol), Linda Ronstadt, Tina Turner, Pussycat, Ray Charles, Charles Aznavour, Donovan, basically all my mom's favorites (my dad's no big music fan). At the age of 14 my mom got me an acoustic guitar (3/4) and the first couple of years i just plucked the strings a bit. Then a friend showed me how to play chords and a whole new world opened up to me.
10 years later i formed a band with 2 friends called Sense. Between '95 and '98 were the best years, with lots of gigs, a demo and an album. In '99 things started to go downhill and in 2000 the drummer decided to quit, which meant the end of Sense (it was basically me and the drummer, Gijs, who were Sense). In the meantime i had also been playing in several other projects like Brainscab, where i met Lex (Bass)
After Sense i tried to set up some new bands, did auditions with other bands, joined up with girl singers, trying to find my way back on stage again. Formed a singer-songwriter duo with Vera, tried to set up a band with JoLanda, but to no avail. Though it was a nice experience, it just wasnt working for me.
Now i see myself as a solo artist, and im trying to get myself to record some decent songs, all written and performed by myself. On my 'Artist Page' you can listen to some of my/our ideas, jams, songs, whatever you like to call em. To me its all the same, its about the music, the intention, not the structure or 'how its suppost to be'...
