Born in Beaumont, TX in April 6, 1984 with the name of John Calvin Pinkney II known as J-Gotti. Youngest and only son of former DJ John Calvin and Michelle Fontenot. Grew up on the Northside on Delaware St. soon to join the local street gang of Delaware Street Crips. Which a year later became a set under Hoova Deuce Crips at the age of 12. Due to parents divorce moved to Baytown, TX with his father soon to realize my love for football and music. After numerous fights over respect and a decorated wrap sheet. Passion for music was overshadowed by thoughts of a promising football career. At 17 dreams of NFL stardom swiftly diminished with an untimely injury. Then began mixing and studying music industry also major and local artist like Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Notorious BIG, Scarface, Boss Hogg Outlawz, Old Swishahouse, Dj Screw, Fat Pat, Big Moe, Big HAWK, Z-Ro, and Old Cash Money( Hot Boys and Big Tymers). Blessed with a musical eyes, ears and undeniable determination. J-Gotti began releasing a series of underground mix tapes sold out of trunks and backpacks. After 3 years of mixing in strip clubs and on CD’s. J-Gotti took a drastic change at 20 years old. Homeless wit no where to go I slept on a bench in Magnolia Park in Beaumont, TX. Woke up wit tears in eyes and desperation in heart. Asking God to help me and show my path that next morning found a 5 star five subject notebook on top of a near by trash can. Message was noticeably clear immediately in days & week
