What a wonderful change pace. is about the relationships that take place between the individuals working in a doctors’ office. It has a little bit of everything; marriage, friendship, forbidden love, religion, and a lot of dysfunction.

is the sequel to Beautiful Lies. Ridley Jones a young reporter is still in the middle of the same mess she was in, in the previous book. Ridley was brought up by parents who she didn't know weren't her real parents and dealing with the fact that her "uncle" was really her father. She finds more lies and secrets. Not really wanting to know the truth but finding herself compelled to seek it out anyway puts herself into a dangerous adventure. Recommend you read Beautiful Lies first even though Lisa Unger does a good job of keeping the reader up to speed in this sequel.

I truly enjoyed this book. If I have a fictional hero it would be Sarah Prine. Sarah writes in her diary about life in frontier Arizona from 1881 to 1901. She is brave and one of the most capable frontier women I've ever read about. Not only is she able to run her cattle ranch on her own but also longs for love and family and doesn't settle for any less than what she wants.
