The contest is simple. We supply the accapella and the tempo, then you make a beat around it, mix it, master it and send it back to us. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of this competition. Maybe to the runners up as well... Contest goes as follows; Step #1 Download The Accapella Here. Step #2 Make your beat, the tempo is 70 bpm. Step #3 Mix that shit like it's cake batter. Do it right cuz we will know... Step #4 Master the mix. Try to get it close to industry levels. Don't be poppin my speakers, I'll hunt you down... Step #5 Send it back to us at thestudio@cfrstudios.com . Make sure it's in MP3 format. If you don't know how to convert something into MP3 by now you should just quit and go get your job back at McDonalds. They miss you there. Step #6 Sit back ad wait. Winners will be notified by email. If you don't hear from us then you probably did not win. Makes sense don't it? Other things that you should know: We are no biased to the music genre that you prefer. Create your track to the best of your abilities. If you make east Coast, West Coast, Mid West, Down South, Reggatone, Pop, Rock or whatever, show us what you got. (Points will be deducted for entries in the genre of country. Get real...) You will Be judged by our panel of esteemed colleagues on the following content: Song Structure 10 points Over All Quality 20 points Change Ups 10 points (meaning where you put them not how many there are.) Sounds Used 10 points Dynamics 10 points (If you don't know what that is you had better look it up.) Mixing 20 points Mastering 10 points (This is just us being nice) Creativity 10 points Remember to send us your contact info wen you send the MP3 back. If you do not leave me anything to get a hold of you, you don't win, and I don't care. Deadline for all entries is January 27th 2008. All entries that are submitted after that will promptly be forwarded to either the official K-Fed camp for processing or to Suge Knight and you will be sued, Prizes go as following: First Prize is a $1000.00 Gift certificate for studio time at CFR Studios. You will also be a featured interview on "The Kill Show" on CFR Radio broadcast on itunes. You will also be given the opportunity to write a track for "CFR's The Verdict" Due out sometime in 2008. Where will shamelessly promote the hell out of you. You will get the number one spot on the CFR Studios myspace page as well as others, and we might take you to lunch if we like you. The top ten tracks will also be broadcast on itunes with recognition going to their respected parties. Along with the top ten worst tracks in declining order, and I'm sure G-Baby and Dr. Knock are going to let you have it. So thats something to look forward to.
