Big Tyice’s 
Born Timothy Cooke, Big Tyice started singing at early age, although he did not take it seriously. Mostly raised by his maternal grandmother, Grace Cooke, he had a rough childhood moving from place to place and even being temporarily placed in the foster care system. One could say that the streets raised him. Some of these experiences caused young Tyice to act out, but he eventually learned to express his feelings through his music. After he discovered his passion and talent for writing music, he constantly battled fellow classmates and neighborhood kids in freestyle battles. Multi-talented Tyice, better known as Tyson, was gifted with his choice of words, usually being the champion of these local battles. 
Although Big Tyice could be a potential rap star, he loved singing and reaching out to people’s feelings, touching their soul. In his late teens, Big Tyice started to seriously pursue his dream of being an R&B artist. It started with singing in school choirs and events and lead to auditioning for shows and performing at competitions. His first competitions/talent shows were at Thomas Jefferson High School and John Marshal High School, both in Richmond, VA. He later moved to Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake, VA where he promoted and competed in local talent shows. Shortly thereafter, he moved again to Hampton High School. Many of the students knew Tyson because he was a big football star. His classmates soon discovered that the #1
