LITTE ABOUT PHX inc What is it that that makes an artist or an act a success? Is it the beats that keep us bobbing our heads, or the lyrics that make us pay attention to the story of a song, or is it maybe their image. What ever it is, or a collection of many things, Arsonist aka Johnny Storm the Human torch & Check-mate definitely have it going on. These two up-and-coming rapper and rapper/producer have busted in to the underground rap scene after years of pratice to discover their sound and with the New Year upon us,2007 is guaranteed to be a big one for the boys. Arsonist aka Johnny Storm the human torch in the booth (Brandon Hendrix) and Check-mate(Jon Brossard) met each other senior year of High School in Houston, Texas. Sharing a love for both rap music and shoes, the two hit off immediately and began writing music. Starting out as just Something fun to do on a Friday night, the two never would have guessed it would bring them to where they are today. They used their years of making songs prior to now as practice, learning what work and what doesn’t work in the music industry, and in early 2006
