Skeptik, born(1992) in the South Bronx, is an artist on the rise who brings a whole new meaning to the word diverse. Skeptik’s journey began with poetry slams for school-wide audiences in the 6th grade. Not too long after his birth as a writer, he found himself making home-made remixes to industry songs and eventually making beats of his own to record on. In high school, his passion for performing and the arts grew beyond the bars of writing & production and led him to the world of theatre, where he says, he grew tremendously as a performer.
His ambition would soon earn him a spot in Teatro El Puente, a youth-led theater company that uses entertainment as a mode of educating high school students on HIV/AIDS and other social issues that affects their communities.
With this new take on performing and engaging audiences with relatable yet empowering content, along with the introduction to the entertainment group, Bedrock, Skeptik decided to go full force with his music and debuted the mixtape, “Midnight Munchies” which solidified his role as a recording artist in Bedrock and amongst his peers.
Skeptik is soon to release a new mixtape, cleverly & satirically entitled “FOR.PROMOTIONAL.USE.ONLY!!” featuring songs such as “For the Record” and timeless hit, “SummerTime”. This project includes production from Vett of ‘DaMVPz’ (SummerTime), Matt Houston, Trixx Beatz (For the Record), AyoDLo, SuperStar O, Izzy, JayK & DJ Tank, Fly Life Productions, and The Kush Administration.
