It was formed in New Orleans, Louisiana. After a prison stint where Charlie Hoff aka Charlie D Hustler was locked up with the 205 Woodstock Leader it became sanctioned as one of the original Harvey Hustlers sets. Harvey Hustlers was started in Harvey, LA and is the start of what became the New Orleans/205 Blood gang. The gang was fathered by 11-500 aka T-Swamps from the Woodmere subdivision, and Marlon Turner a.k.a. Black Mar and his blood-related brother Darnell Nell Turner from the 15th Ward, low income public housing development. Turner was sentenced to life without parole and confined in the state-supermax prison in St. Francisville, Louisiana on a plea bargain for killing and attempting to kill multiple people in the Marrero Commons complex in the New Orleans area. The terms of his plea bargain stipulate that he may be indefinitely held in segregation subject to special administrative measures which restrict communication. A model prisoner at Angola, his attempts to lessen these restrictions have been unsuccessful as of 2012 due to fear by prosecutors that any suggestion he might make would be promptly carried out by S.M.M. members. S.M.M. eventually affiliated itself with the United Blood Nation, which emerged during the 1990s. Over a relatively short time S.M.M. spread to other locations. They are primarily located in the New Orleans area, on the Westbank. Mary Popkins, Scottsdale, and Pebble-Walk low income housing area. Woodmere, also known to the 205 Blood gang as the Woodstock, is still the seat of authority over all the gangs territory. The Uptown section of New Orleans, as well as the Downtown and many eastern New Orleans neighborhoods like Bunker Hill, Little Woods, Currant Place, the lower 9th Ward and East New Orleans. Out of town the gang is growing, it is particularly large in Huntsville, Alabama and to a lesser extent in Houston, Texas. The gang was established in 2002 at the Orleans Parish Prison jail complex in New Orleans. The gang initially sold various narcotics including heroin, crack cocaine and PCP throughout Harvey.They based their drug selling business in uninhabited buildings (aka Bandos) in the vicinity of Alex Kornman Blvd (Ak-Blvd) and Max Dr. (Mar Dr.) Disadvantaged people including the homeless, prostitutes and children were allegedly used to sell the narcotics for the gang. The gang has operated in the U.S. state of Virginia and other states. It has allegedly been engaged in the sex trafficking of women and racketeering in New Orleans, Las Vegas, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Baltimore, New Jersey and other areas.The gang was also allegedly involved in the distribution of illegal drugs, including heroin, cocaine, crack, ecstasy, marijuana and prescription painkillers in these areas. Further allegations include dealing in counterfeit U.S. currency and using counterfeit currency to "finance wholesale drug purchases". The gang has been investigated by the U.S. FBI, DEA, and ATF as well as various other gang task forces in the United States.
