Kurtanz was born Curtis James Perkins on November 4th 1984, in the sunny East Bay Area. He was exposed to the entertainment business at an early age, surrounded by an older brother in the nightclub and rave scenes, along with all the DJs and musical talent that came with that.
Kurtanz began writing his own lyrics before the age of twenty, building an arsenal of tracks and collaborating with several California producers and artists alike. He's passionate about music and focuses on writing educated hip-hop and dance tracks yet remains neutral as an artist to avoid limiting himself to fads and trends. Kurtanz surrounds himself with winners and has been cautious in who to sign deals with - Most of his music has yet to be released.
